Sickness Hospitalisation Income Policy
This plan provides benefits for hospitalisation and convalescence caused by sickness.
Hospitalisation inpatient benefit – if you have to stay in hospital as an inpatient because of sickness, we will provide financial support from the first day of hospitalisation, for up to three years.
Convalescence – if you were unable to work following discharge from hospital and under the care of a doctor, we will continue to make payments while you recover at home.
Benefits Payable to You
- For each overnight stay as a hospital inpatient, we pay up to €384 per day. This is payable for up to three years.
- Double benefit is paid if you have to stay in hospital due to cancer, coronary artery bypass surgery, heart attack, kidney failure or stroke.
- Up to €192 per day is payable if you remain totally incapacitated following discharge from hospital. This benefit is payable for up to double the number of in-patient days.
- Benefits payable are in addition to those provided by any other sickness policy.
The value of your benefit will depend on the level of cover you selected when you purchased your policy.
