Accident Hospital Benefit Plan

This plan provides cover when you are injured in an accident.
Cover is available to anyone between the ages of 6 months and 64.
Our flexible plans allow you to choose the level of cover that best suits your needs.
The policy provides the following benefits:
- hospital inpatient benefit – overnight stay in hospital can be expensive. This plan provides financial support from the first overnight inpatient stay resulting from an accidental bodily injury
- convalescence benefit – payable for up to twice the number of days spent in hospital if you cannot carry out your usual occupation or activities, after having been treated as in inpatient for an accidental bodily injury. For every night you spend in a hospital, 2 days convalescence benefit will be paid.
- fracture benefit - pays a lump sum for major and minor fractures caused by an accident.
- surgical procedures benefit – we pay a lump sum if you need surgery as a result of an accidental bodily injury. Lump sum is paid whether you are hospitalised or treated as a day care patient.
- loss of life benefit – we will pay a lump sum to your estate if you die as a result of an accident.
Benefits payable to you
- Up to €300 per day for each night you spend in hospital as an in-patient.
- Up to €210 per day for convalescence. This may be paid for up to twice the number of in-patient days.
- Lump sum benefits are payable for a range of circumstances. You could receive:
- Up to €450 if you suffer a minor fracture and
- Up to €2,250 if you suffer a major fracture
- Up to €1,500 if you require a surgical procedure as a result of an accident.
- Up to €30,000 for accidental death
The value of your benefit will depend on the level of cover you selected when you purchased your policy.

You can use Combined Insurance’s Accident Hospital Benefit Plan to:
- Supplement your lost earnings or the earnings of your spouse/partner if they take time off work
