Combined’s Sickness Income Plan will…
Protect your standard of living by providing regular monthly benefit payments if a covered sickness prevents you from working. We also pay a benefit for partial disability following total disability.

Should you be unable to perform your usual business or occupation as a result of a covered sickness and be under the care of a doctor, in or out of hospital, Combined will pay you benefit. You can receive up to €1,250 per month for total loss of time beginning with the 4th day of total disability, initially this will be for a period of up to 6 months.
The longer you keep Combined’s Sickness Income Plan, prior to the symptoms of the sickness, the longer Combined pay you the benefits. Every 3 months the period of benefit increases by 1 additional month until your total period of benefit reaches a maximum of 12 months. In other words you could receive up to €15,000.
If you are partially disabled as a result of a covered sickness so that you are unable to perform one or more important duties of your usual business or occupation and you are under the care of a doctor we pay you beginning with the 4th day for a period of up to 1 month at a monthly rate of up to €625.
You will be covered with Combined…- If you suffer total disability (incapacity) because of sickness
- For partial disability (incapacity) following a period of total disability
You can use Combined’s Sickness Income Plan to:- Supplement your lost earnings
- Supplement the earnings of your spouse/partner if they take time off work
- Pay for someone to look after your children
- Help towards medical expenses or home nursing
- Pay for home help to do the jobs around the house and garden
- Pay for everyday living expenses
- Pay for any extra travel costs
- Help you take a holiday to recuperate
How you choose to use the benefit is completely up to you.
In summary, Combined’s Sickness Hospitalisation Income Plan provides you with:
- Total disability benefits are payable for up to 6 months initially, extending to a maximum of 12 months
- Additional benefit of up to €625 for partial disability due to a covered sickness
- All benefits are payable in addition to those provided by any other sickness policy and State Benefits
- Best Doctors medical referral service.
- Peace of mind where no medical examination is required.
