People without sick pay
Combined can really help you if you get little or no sick pay and this includes both those in paid employment and those in unpaid work such as a housewife/house husband or someone engaged in voluntary work.
If you were unable to perform your usual work due to an accident or sickness, State Benefits would provide you with statutory sick pay of up to €185.80 per week, that’s about €745 a month. - up to €2,250 for breaking a bone accidentally
- up to €9,100 a month for hospitalisation due to an accident or sickness
- up to €1,250 a month for incapacity due to accident or sickness
- up to €143,000 for being diagnosed with a critical illness
All benefits are payable in addition to State Benefits and are usually tax free.* The benefits are yours to spend how you choose and can be used to cover your living expenses, getting the best medical treatment or taking a holiday to recuperate. Family members can also be covered at special rates and children can be covered on an adult Critical Illness Plan at no additional cost.
