Make It Happen Awards
The Combined Insurance Make it Happen Awards is a community awards initiative which aims to give away a shared prize fund of €20,000 in a particular local area. The awards are open to people, groups and charities who want to make something specific happen for the benefit of their local community.

Winning ideas have included:
- Funding to purchase neighbourhood watch signs.
- Purchasing new tracksuits for a Community Games group.
- Funding to produce a tri-monthly newsletter that would be self-sufficient and raise awareness of the wheelchair association in the local community.
- Funding to save the spire on a local church.
John P Hughes, General Manager for Combined Insurance in Ireland, said:
